Default Divided turbo housings! 1 for STU possibly

Ok so I need advise from from someone who is clued up on turbos and exhaust flow,
Picture V8 engine, manifold from each side of engine running into a Y piece to 1 big turbo with divided exhaust housing, should I run the 2 side into one flange and yet them sort there selves out flow wise or would it be best to keep it divided all the way to the turbo?

Fors and against on both options?

Divided flange turbos spool better on the whole, thats the sole reason they are made, so deffo keep em divided all the way if you can mate.

Works on 2/4/6/8 whatever.

Straight 6s are particularly effective by seperating the front 3 from the rear 3.

as above - you get an impulse of energy from each cylinder firing separately that is supposed to aid spool up

Yes! Pics! Turbo V8s rule

And BTW, nothing beats a well specced turbo, ie a modern undivided turbo would beat a old skool divided one with an overly big a/r etc.

I think once up and running the turbo will be replaced, it has already ran the number on a similar spec engine so will be ok to start with, however I do want something a little more road friendly at a later date. pics on way
