EVERYTIME i open a window...be it passionford or ebay or anything i get a box with Windows Intaller pop up. It then takes about 2 minutes before the page will show up.

Whats up with it and how do i fix the bloody thing

Tiff, Its more than likely that if you are running a pop up blocker and its getting past this than you have an adware problem, you need to make sure you have spyware installed, but you must make sure it is updated and you must run it because they dont automatically pick adware up. If your on BT use BT antispy

As I said you must run it dont rely that you have it that you have got protection

Sounds like your Windows Installer database has corrupted and it thinks there is a program that is linked to IE that needs installing again, hence the reason it pops up all the time.

It should, on the message, tell you what the program is its trying to reinstall. once you know this, go to www.microsoft.com and download this

Its the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Load it up and look for an entry in the list for the program that is causing you the problem. Find it, highlight it and run the cleanup against it.

Should be OK. If not, post the name of the program and I'll do some more digging.
