Default Fwd cars gearbox / clutch removal

must be plenty on here who have had a fwd gearbox off? escort turbo etc.

whats the crack

basically is it remove drave shaft , then undo all the gearbox to engine bolts, bolts out of front and rear mount.

Then slide gear box away from engine? as that where im stuck????

had a jack under the gearbox, and when lowering that the engine lowers with it?

Once the box is unbolted has it stuck to the block?

if so just lever bar it away from the block...

no its come away, about a 5mm gap, just didnt wanna force it, seems thats the way?

so how do you stop the engine turning whilst trying to undo the 10mm clutch housing bolts?

ratchet on crank pulley or lever bar jamming flywheel or a gun will just whip them off

ahh, cant get to crank, so use a crow bar, new clutch now on, just gotta put it all back together now!
