Nope, the diff was repaired by Harvey and then there was still a strange noise when it came on boost (which previously couldn't be heard over the noise of the diff), so it went back to Martin to check over the rest of the transmission, and it turned out that the transfer box chain had stretched so much that it was jumping the gears and pitted all my brand new 3.9 drop gears , so I had to have a new chain and another set of drop gears .
I hope it still isn't at Martin's, as that would mean it has escaped my garage and driven back there all by itself, as I collected it on Saturday . I could have collected it during the week, but needed to leave it there as guinea pig to test Gareth's inner HID lights on and make sure they fitted before ordering the diamond inner lenses (see Escort section).
Hope that clarifies sufficiently .

Mikes car actually came in for fitment of a new spark plug for his flamer kit We also arranged for the leather seats to be super valeted as he was complaining that he was getting dirty marks on his backside whilst driving naked

Actually, the diff was just the problem, but when Harvey then went out to check the boost on the car, the noise was not evident at all until the car hit 1.8 bar, so you couldn't hear anything amiss until that point. So I was actually able to drive the car to Martin's on 1.4 bar no problem .
