Was just on a test drive again after flushing current rad out to just make sure thats the prob!

Seems aswell, that after flushing the rad, the cold spot has gone.... but the boost pipe went, so didnt get that far anyway to see if the temp went up! LOL

was only a stones throw from my house RAC man pissed him self when he loaded car, and took me for a 3 minute drive back to mine

Rad - if it was me mate - i'd have the pipe welded back onto the flange and then the pipe cut on that second weld, a rib of weld put onto each end of the cut pipe and then use a silicon straight on there....

As the engine is moving, even slightly, it'll be stressing that weld as the pipe to the intercooler is most probably (well, should be lol) supported by a bracket at some point...

The silicon will act as a bit of a damper i'd hope

Those kits usually have a bracket welded on the hot pipe which bolts to the cylinder head. Best thing is to cut it off as they never line up right and put stress on that pipe to turbo join (maybe that's part of the reason if it's on there?)
