Don't know if it was the same car, but one of the FWD Civics put in a 10.6 at the end of the day.
Superb day, LOTs of 8s and 9s...

They are starting to enforce some rules for sub 10s and 150+ cars.....but as yet, havent exactly explained what,

Mick Begley's Jun Lemon was one of the first victims of this when it ran a sub 10 just after TOTB at Santa Pod.
They told him he couldnt enter JapShow as a RWYB entry, and had to enter in Pro class, with full cage etc....

A cage in a road car is intrusive, and can be dangerous if not wearing a helmet, which you dont normally do in a road car.
So if that is the cars main use.....fitting items like that can be very unwelcome.

If Santa Pod want to impose rules, they need to tell the people what the rules are.
And if they are going to start enforcing NHRA style rules, then there isnt a single "modern" car on the scene today, that would comply with these rules, cage or no cage.

A local guy to us has a RX7 that broke into the 9's, I heard that he was moved up a class due to that, god to hear its coming together for him at last though Air bag suspension too

Were the civics on road legal rubber ? you can improve by 1 second from using proper slicks over 888's for example.

I presume these rules only count on cars that are competing ? rwyb cars shouldn't fall into those categories unless maybe doing 150 passes ?

Is that the the Civic that looked like it had been abused? (dented wing and door)

The bikes were awesome, just a shame there weren't any more...

And as for the Jet car

My mate got himself a 12.02 in his Pulsar, not much done to it either

I'll see if I can find the vids my mate took on his N95. Ignore the chav in the cap on some of the vids

edited: here they are
