Default How much for head skim?

^^ as above

to strip a head, skim it(by quite a bit), then re-assemble it...

just looking for approximate prices

Cheers

depends on how much the valve stem seals are but i would say about £150- £200

£40 skim
£30 ish for valve stem seals
£40 ish for lapping valves in
£50- 100 labour

thats roughly what a place will charge...

be careful mate i think they are on shims instead of hydrolic lifters so if you take the cams out they might need reshimming which will cost a bit more so just leave it to them

Why would you want to skim it by so much, it will raise the compression to high?

cheers lads,

thought they were hydraulic,

I want to take a lot off as the compression is silly low at the moment,

its around 6.5:1 so taking a bit off might help
