Default any1 use RTOC? fancy a GT Turbo

i'm thinking that i want a bit of track fun....and i really really want to do it in a R5 GT Turbo.

i'm thinking totally stripped, caged, perspex windows....and 250bhp with full slicks and good suspension brakes.

i'm hunting for examples but there seem to be none, but i don't want to pay to join that site just to find none on there either

ideally i'd buy a well specced car and strip it...or even better a ready made track car and play with it a little

dunno tbh mate..i don't intend to put it up for sale, but i seem to have lost interest in it

i've wanted to do track days for years, but a budget car would suit me better, especially if it's not summat i really care about.

200+ bhp and a stripped R5 should be great fun

I'm on the rtoc & the problem is once you spend the sort of money you have to, to build a 250bhp monster from scratch you wont want to part with it unless you get a lot of money for it - been there and done that 5 years ago with the one i used to own

This might be worth considering though

You sound EXACTLY like i did when i had my 3DR..........

I opted for the 205 Mi16...............honestly mate, go for one of them as a cheap track toy insted of the GT Kettle

One thing i learned doing trackdays is that unless you have alot of money to blow on a track car.....DONT get a Turbo'd one

With an awesome set of brakes and suspention and slicks, the 205 Mi16 was mega.....lapped Donno in the 1m 26secs iirc

You're right but saying that the engine will probably be more reliable than the standard one in the 5

Having seen a few 205's of various engine transplants tearing round Combe a few weeks back i have to say it is very tempting

106GTi or Saxo VTS then, incredible handling as standard, for not alot extra you can do few engine mods and have it around the 160bhp mark.

I've just paid £1500 for a mint 2000 W plate VTS, so much fun its unreal.
good call....i really rate the VTS
