Why is the fan so far away from the cars in the above photos! A fan of that diameter will unlikely make air flow faster than 30mph, and at that distance away from the cars simply won't make any pressure differential in order that air flows through the intercooler!!

AVA always run a duct from the fan on the higher powered cars to help things.

surely if it was that good they could run it with bonnets down to avoid them hitting windscreens

There is categorically no way a fan of that diameter could generate 150mph wind speed at the front of the car, given the size of the motor driving the fan.

I did'nt mean to come across as criticising, apologies if I did. It's just alarming that people run their cars up in an enviroment which could do irreversible damage!

I've been moaning about this for years especially at Nobles too. It's just crazy that anyone with a turbocharged car running at high boost runs it on the RR. The incredible heat generated by an engine at full load simply cannot be disipated fast enough by any fan.

I know people love these days, but I constantly worry about the damage it can cause, especially engines that end up running ACT's at 70DegC +.

Especially when you see them doing run after run after run!! , from what i've seen 1 run gets the car so hot, that EVERY run after is lower power due to heat soak.

Failing that, at least have the sense to take a CO2 extinguisher along and cool the charger before each run!

Sorry Karl but how can you comment on what a fan can or cant do when you havent even seen the item in operation and wasn't there today.
