of your mk6 engine bays, i want ideas to make mine look less boring and standard, i was just wondering if anyone on here with mk6s whether its a 1.6, 1.8 (si/gti) or rs2000 i just wanna see them please.

mine when i first got it

2.0l conversion



then a leaky gasket so out it came for a rebuild, high comp and a set of bike carbs for extra fun

was a bit of an effort making these up to fit, but well worth it

one thing led to another and i scrapped the cunt

stripped all the bits off and sold them, then 'stress tested' the shell

because it kept doing this to the gearboxes

A powdercoated cam cover makes a big impression on the engine bay. I've just remembered I still have the black one in the top picture, but it si surplus to requirements!

where can i get all the nice engine dressign components from?

i really love twinkles. where can i get that sort of stuff from?

 

i made some of my stuff myself, then polished it up, i also got my mate who works at banshee motorsport to custom make stuff for me as well out of mirror stainless.

 

oh right....... darm!

 

its not that bad

looking at my engine this is the list,

cam cover - polished myself
inlet manifold - polished myself
spark plug cover - made mysleft but can be bought from banshee motorsport and etched if wanted.
exhaust heat shield - custom made at banshee motorsport
scuttle cover panels - custom made at banshee motorsport
brake servo cover - made myself and polished
brake fluid cover - made myself and polished (can be bought from banshee)
all cap covers from banshee motorsport
inlet pipe - RS turbo s1 cross over pipe polished
hoses brom banshee - can get from other places to.
chrome over hose covers - banshee motorsport.

you can get all the above still no probs, just gve them a bell just mention twinkle with the XR3i escort and he will know the bits.
