Default Tyre Help Needed

i currently have 205 55 16s on my car but i desperately need to get them changed before i get 6 points.

would it matter if i put 205 50 16s on the back as i have 2 of them in my garage

no you couldnt mate cos they would be smaller tyre's on the rear then front which is'nt legal.
But if memory serves you could swap them onto front and aslong as the largest were on the rear then it's ok

you can do want you want mate as long as the the axle is the same size on both sides

since when? and why?

its just rolling radius by 5%, width etc is the same.

AFAIK its totally fine, 100% fine with smaller on the front, and it will look better with the 50s on the front and 55s rear.

yep, put the bigger ones on the rear and smaller on the front. will be perfectly legal.

Yes mate as the long as the axle is matching each side you are ok and its legal as ive just checked with a mot tester i know !

There are a few corsa's knocking around here with 16's on the front and 14's or 15's on the rear as they are supposed to handle better that way ??

And drag/race/hot rods cars etc have small on the front and large on rear.

You could be right mate but as i understood it the smaller rolling circumfrunce (sp) had to be on the front of the vehicle
