Is it just me or do RWD cozy's drive and handle better than the 4X4's??
Only been driving my new rwd for a couple of days but it feels like a different car compared to my old fourby, and maybe the fact im running sensible power
Whats your views?

I've also driven a 4 wheel drive one and I didn't like it as much to drive as the 2 wheel drive but if it was an every day car it'd have to be a 4x4. 2 wheel drive is great fun but it can get scary sometimes.

are you talking about driving hard or just driving around town?
Surely it will feel different to 4x4 even when just pulling away from the lights.
only driven 2wd but my mates got a 4x4 and it did feel different when i sit in it even when pulling away from the lights, it might be different specs but thought it might be because of the way power is divieded between the wheels.
ps.... "2wd all the way
especially when people who hardly know you or cars sit in it and are unsure if you can drive
shits em up nicely

To be honest it wasn't to bad there was quite a few of us and having a bit of a laugh' Then i blocked this car from using the hard shoulder as his personal lane (lets say he got a bit irate ) to say the least then after a few mins i think realized he bit of more than he can chew when he saw how many of us there was.

I have both
4x4 escort cossie should be around 430BHP when it's ready,and a 450BHP RWD T4 saff...
Horses for courses, 4x4 is NO faster around corners, just easier to drive fast close to the limit, a well set up 2wd with a good driver will murder a same-spec 4x4 and a bit more.
Way I see it is:
2wd 270BHP= 4x4 330BHP
2wd 330BHP= 4x4 400BHP
In the wet it's a different story, it's where 4x4 comes into it's own for acceleration braking and cornering, as it lays its grip down much better
But if I had to choose it would be RWD for me
, can't beat scaring people by going sideways in 3rd gear

ive never had a 4x4 cos. but i went in a stage 3 2wd saph and we raced another guy in an identical spec 4x4 saph admitadly it was dry and we pulled on him quite a bit. extra drivetrain must drain quite a few more of the ponys

I've owned a 300 bhp 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth as well as a 330bhp RWD Rover/TVR V8 powered 3 door and used both of them as an every day car come rain or snow. If the road was not perfectly dry the RWD was like a one legged cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen pond. The RWD was much faster if the conditions were perfect but to live with day in day out it has to be 4WD
