Hi christian,
I've spoken to Jake (shings) tonight and told him he cannot commit 100% until Tuesday. This is because I still have'nt rebuilt his engine, (machining is complete but not yet reassmebled) but this should be completed by Friday PM. Hopefully the car can then be run in over the weekend and finally setup on Monday.
Modification wise, I have simply lowered the compression ratio, as we were at the limit of detonation running 1.8bar held, and I felt more safety margin was required and hence have now lowered the C.R to 7.2:1.
As said, until I have the engine running and back in the car, I can't advise Jake to say YES 100% because I'm not allowing for any problems that may arise.
I would recommend you keep oli as reserve. His car is significantly more powerfull than Jakes, BUT it would be a good comparison all the same allthough at this time I cannot forsee any reason why I won't have Jakes car finished.
