AEM Wideband - Around £200 if you get them at the right price.
Mega accurate and reliable, come with a top of the range bosch sensor, all the wiring, all the calibrations, different backgrounds etc.
Proper bit of kit. Even The Diva was impressed

Innovate LC1 controller + DB/G2/G3 gauge kits work and look well for a permanent installation, fair price too IMO at £180ish for full kit.

Read up on the Innovate forum last night & it recommended I did a full re-calibration - free air & heater.
Did that this morning before I came to work & fingers crossed it seems to be ok so far.
I think I'll be buying a spare Bosch lambda though as it sounds like these do go pretty regular.
Something that I did find interesting though it that they state that you shouldnt leave a lambda sendor in an exhaust system thats NOT connected to a guage etc as this can fuck the sendor very quickly!!

it's wierd that the Lsu4 sensors appear to be so unreliable in conjunction with the innovate kit, as they are used OE in a lot of VAG cars for example, and cause no bother at all for tens of thousands of miles...
I've seen sensor error problems on my LM1 on occasions that has been attributable purely to position in the exhaust (in a OE sensor position in a Rover downpipe for example, between two secondary pipes) we couldn't get any sense out of it at all and all indications were that the sensor was bust, but putting the same sensor in the tailpipe jig then worked perfectly

I've heard of many faults with Innovate, but ive used a few and never have any problem. Mine's been on the S2 for over 2 years now, driven daily and it's faultless. it could be a build quality issue, possible with heater current overcoming the wiring - just a random guess. They also won't work with a sensor that is to far 'gone' - the detecting logic could be a little too sensitive. Still, the measuring principle is second to none, and it's this the OEM's are looking into.

SO, how often is it recommended that you change the sensor to ensure you're generally not going to miss the car running lean?
Also, is there any way of having say, a wideband AFR and Fuel pressure / boost gauge connected to sound an alarm if all 3 were out of sync? (thinking Lean, lots of boost / high fuel pressure indicated lots of boost...)

And that will be a bosch lsu4 or?? 5 Wire thing if I remember correct!
I am ALSO one of those people that consider buying one... I am looking at the Zeitronix kit with LCD display or the Dynojet WBCommander kit.
