Default DO POLICE TARGET YOUNG PEOPLE, without reason

I know as I progressed through mopeds to bigger bikes then cars that as I got older, though behaviour did not change much got pulled a lot less, and find the older you are the less the police seem to be interested, even though you may have done nothing wrong as a youngster.
Am I alone or do other people feel this too, that the youngsters are being targetted unfairly ?

I think when you look at the statistics for what demographic is committing the most crimes and being involved in the largest proportion of road traffic accidents, it's probably only fair that the average bobby/traffic cop DOES give most of their attention to young people.

funny enough I was having this conversation the other day with someone. What you have to look at with youths are that 9 times out of 10 they draw Police attention to themselves in many ways. Whether its by not wearing seatbelt (as a lot of them tend not to do... must be uncool to do so) or they are just generally sodding about.. ie burning up and down the road, or one of their passengers bouncing around in the back of the car making the rear end of the car look like it belongs at the back of a conga line. We tend to stop all these silly little things when we start to grow up.

Obviously you have to look at the kind of motor they are driving and likely hood of it being insured... no its not jealousy on my behalf if they are driving something better than me but just my knowledge of how much we have to pay for car insurance etc.

I dont think its in anyway unfair as I have been there getting stopped twice a day and i know that 9 out of 10 blokes have been in the same position in their younger days.

The way I see it is that you never know that one of these cars we do stop might turn out to be your pride and joy which has just been swiped off your driveway. So what would you prefer, Police that never stop cars on a gut feeling or Police that do stop cars and possibly recoverin someones pride and joy.

Cheers mate.

I have never had anything to hide either as my dad would have beat 7 shades out of me if I was driving a motor without any docs.

I couldn't remember who did it! But thanks buddy!

You're my muse.

Anyway, back on topic I think all young people should be tagged until they're 21 and built into these tags is a little electric shock thing that sensible people [I'm including myself ] can set off as and when they see fit.

There's too my liberal fuckwits around these days. Bring back public flogging.

That's a different matter entirely! I think by law we should also be able to poke the parents repeatedly in the eyes with a sharp stick covered in dog poo.

I was thinking about running for local government as an independant.

I've been pulled twice in my life.

Once as it was late at night and I had just picked all my mates up from a club, 2 weren't wearing seatbelts.

Second time I was going well over 120mph in my turbo and deserved to get pulled!

I was in me dads car with my mate, a usaf bloke when we were stopped.
The young copper about 20/22 said after we were pulled over without looking in the car "now then son where are we off too", he had to do a double take when he looked at my dad 65 years old!!, he said "sorry I thought it was a youngster", my old man said "I am".
It might have been because me and mate had been running, (trying to run in my case) for three miles to a phone box after the pillock decided to see what effect it would have on his 1300 cortina changing down to 2nd at 80mph, quite a lot of effect was the answer, ripping some valve heads off and killing the engine!!
I just admit I have been with youngsters 18/25 or so who did defo get stopped seemingly for routine aggro, and were doing nothing wrong.
