he'll be gutted now he's runner up
The previous highest speed recorded by a camera which resulted in a conviction was 156mph in 2003.
It involved Aberdeen car dealer Jason McAllister, driving on the A90 between Aberdeen and Dundee.

Theirs a certain cossie owner that was caught & convicted at 169mph a few months back on the M1 going to the pod . He saw the camera & was slowing up.

Shit, he never hurt anyone, was unlcuky to get caught.
Yet go out on a saturday have one to many sherberts, punch f$*k out of everyone and the old bill and get locked up for the night.
Or nick a car, storm through some neighbourhood with the old bill following, heli out, wasting a fortune of tax payers money and get flippin community service.
World has gone offically mad!!!

To be fair, that is some speed, if he got into trouble at that speed, it would be extremely difficult to get out of his way
I agree that him getting sentenced, while other crimes get next to nothing is wrong, but think harsher punishments for all is better than letting people off lightly

There was a case a year or so ago of a guy caught doing 150 something in an NSX.
His lawyer some how proved that he was fully in control of the car etc, there was no-one around and so on and all he ended up with was a fine.

Interesting idea. I guess though as he could prove it was his car and he had experience of it. Whereas matey at the top with the 911 had "borrowed" it.
