Bike help, new young rider
Thinking about getting a bike, will only be up to a 125cc as they won't let me have anything bigger on a car license without taking my test which I don't really want to do yet.
What do I need to ride?
Do I have to take a CBT or am I exempt due to having a car license?
What is insurance like? I've been driving on a car license for 2 years but I know it doesn't count on bike insurance.
Don't say take your test as I just want one to belt around on for the meantime before I go in the Navy as any car I'll be getting will be a shit heap to last me a month or 2.
Ideas on what bike to get? and action to take to get legal to ride one?
Cheers.

Yeah, you will have to do a CBT about £80, Or you could go for a restricted licence which should be around £250 which limits you to 33bhp, insurance on a 125 should be around £150 for someone over 25 and £200 under. pete

You'll need a cbt.
Depending on what type of bike you want.
Sport's and fast. Cagiva mito 2 stroke
Or aprillia rs 125
Sport's and reliable. Honda cbr 125 4 stroke or if your after a town bike a yamaha dtr 125
Insurance depend's on the bike mate.
I've still got my mito cos it's a fun little bike to fuck around on and wicked powerband. Restricted 70 mph or you can fuck about with it and get over 115 mph for a couple of hundred quid.
Hope this helps mate

You can get a 125 on the road and licenced and insured for 1.5kish
That's for something that wont let you down mate 2 stroke's are brittle
But good fun.
4 stroke's are more practical mate
