Battery as fitted to the Mitsubishi Evo is small if a bike battery doesnt quite have the kick you need.

they probably would work but was thinking a car has a lot more stuff running of the battery than a bike ever would.just buy it from halfords and they have a lifetime guarentee anyway so can just keep taking it back everytime its fooked lol

Just get a small TRACTION BATTERY, it will be very small, and turn the whole car over if you want.

A traction battery is a battery specifically made to deliver very high current, will need to go to battery specialist to get one, they are used in things like electric forklifts, on average size for size they deliver 4 times the current of a car battery.
I used a 12AH one to start my mini all the time which was high compression 1430cc, no problem even in the dead of winter.

Traction batteries are for delivering sustained current over a long period (normally rated at the the five hour rate - C5). Starter batteries are designed for delivering very high current for a short period i.e. starting a cold engine.

A starter battery will be designed (internally) different to a traction battery due to above. The plates, separators and internal lead / pillar designs will be optimised for high draw and minimum voltage drop.

Thats not to say a traction battery will be shit for starting a car, just that (size for size) a starter battery will give you more umph
