fluttering noise comming from by air filter?

Default fluttering noise comming from by air filter?

when im acelerating and letting go of acceleraor im geting a fluttering noise, sounds like its comming from by the airfilter.

could it be a air leak or anybody suggest something?

and no its not the D/V

normally flutter is compressor surge mate. part and parcel of a cossie.you still get it a bit even with a dump valve.

If its making the noise when your driving the car and your pulling away with your foot on the go go pedal,and when you let off the throttle the noise your hearing should be there. Thats just normal it sounds mint i think.

yh sounds cool.. just wanted to make sure it was a sound i should be hearing..my dad never got it on his 500 tho

cones always feed back "flutter". i stick to a drilled box myself,still get the "flutter" but non of the other niose.take it your dad is boxed again?

his will be boxed up again when he gets his spec r airbox..

but when my dad had the cone filter on his 500 it didnt get the flutter..

could it be down to turbo, d/v, etc?

Affectionally known as 'waste gate chatter' but is nothing of the sort. When you let off the throttle the turbo is still spinning. The compressed air basically hits the closed throttle and the pressure causes the air to pass back through the still spinning turbo. The sound you hear is the air being chopped by the compressor.
