Ebay Problem - Isle of Wight Delivery!!!
I put an auction on Ebay for a Cast Iron Fireplace. I now realise that it was a mistake to suggest that I would post to the UK.
However, the winning bidder didn't bother to contact me in advance to tell me that he is from the Isle of Wight. I would have thought that he might have realised that there might be complications and had the courtesy to drop me a mail to warn me.
Anyway, has anyone got any idea's how I can get a 70ishKG parcel delivered to the Isle of Wight for sensible money (sub £50 really)??

ALL the courier companies I have spoken to surcharge for the Isle of Wight, just as they do for the Scottish Highlands etc.
Its difficult to find a company the will deliver 70kg AND deliver to the Isle of Wight. Most companies will do one or the other, but cant find one to do both for reasonable money.
I haven't been quoted £50, if I had, I would have done it. Best I have had so far is getting on for £100. I would drive there myself for that.
