McLaren have been stripped of their points in the 2007 Formula One constructors' championship after the outcome of the 'spygate' row.
The team was also hit with a record $100m (Ł49.2m) fine but drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso will be allowed to keep their points.
The team must also prove there is no Ferrari 'intellectual property' in its cars next eyar before they can race.
McLaren team chief Ron Dennis is due to speak at a 1915 BST news conference.

Ferrari are scum, far too far in with the fucking FIA!
So yet again the cunts win by default, great!
At least Hamilton has kept his points, Ferrari won't get the drivers title which is the one that matters!

If you cheat and get found out,you will have to pay the consequences...and McLaren have!!
If they did profit from the cheating(which it looks like they did),surely the drivers have profited as well?...so theoretically they should have lost thier points as well!
I guess the FIA didn't want to lose viewing figures and revenue for the climax of the season and so let the 2 McLaren drivers off!
People are moaning that the punishment is harsh, but remember what happened to Toyota(in rallying) when they got caught cheating!!

They've been done for cheating and fined Millions of pounds and have to now have their car scrutineered next year AND they have also had all their Constructors points taken away for benefiting from Ferrari Data in THIS years championship....
... yet after ALL this they are allowed to continue to race this season with the same car using the same technology!
Fucking FIA are as bad as that white haired, jumped up prick pensioner Bernie Ecclestone!

this years car was designed last year and had to be approved at the start of the season
the techy stuff is from data ferarri were using to design next years car, so that's why if there is anything that looks fishy with the car design next year they won't be able to get it officialised by the scrutiner types who decide if the car will be allowed to race when they submit the official designs
so the data they gathered from feararri this year would have gone into the design of rons car next year, which would give them an unfair advantage
that's why they are going to be docked points for this year because they've been found to have been guilty of the charge of not telling the truth, thus rendering them status of cheating toerags in the eyes of the law, regardless of anyone actually seeing or using the informatin they might have had
as soon as the documents were handed over someone should have grassed, the fact that they didn't, and that it wasn't just 2 people (stephney and couglan) who knew about them as they have now prooved because there were a few other names mentioned, their integrity has been called into question
you can't say that you've go into an exam with a list of the questions that might be asked already in your pocket and then claim you didn't gain any unfair advantage, this is your very dictionary deffinition of technical cloack and dagger espionage, like wot the russiins etc used to do

I love the fact that so many people hate Bernie. And are blaming him for this.
Bernie (fundamentally) just controls the TV rights, where the races are and the trackside adverts. Hes not even on the WMSC, so had no (official) capacity on determining a punishment.
However, this seems extraordinarily harsh. $100M is a substantial proportion of McLaren's operating budget. But its more about the constructors points. They loose the decent garage, the paddock space for the 3 storey motorhome. They wil be further down than Aguri.
Its my personal belief that Coughlan acted alone. He was proposing with Stepney to go to Honda. (Both men were not favourites at their respective teams) So any information is highly unlikely to have gotton into this years Mp4-22. In fact as most will know that car was concieved and testing before the end of last year. So a few details in March/May (depending on who your sources) won't of made a slow car fast.
I do wonder abut the adage "Win as a team, lose as a team" Lewis and Fernando have been driving cars that the FIA has deemed to be influenced by Ferrari information. By extension they are guiltly of using that advantage to gain race wins (and will continue to if either wins the WDC) so the decision to indemnify them is a political one. Which of course begs the question how Political was the sentancing?
The main issue right now is that a) The FIA have not revealed the exact reasons for the punishment and b) The FIA have a wreckless habit of increasing sanctions if an Appeal fails. (Some will remember Eddie Irvines problems in 93ish)
They will appeal though, nothing upsets RD more than being called a cheat. Which most believe he isnt for his sins. I fear that the thought process of the FIA may behave like a spoilt child though...

I'm glad to see you think its ok for another team to have a document big enough and detailed enough to allow to them to build/test/use/pass off as their own F1 car

They cannot punish McLaren in the way in which they've done so and continue to let them use the same fucking car!
Are McLaredn not allowed to receive any further constructors points for the rest of the season now then either!? If so point well made about the pit boxes and subsquently their garages being down the crap end of the pit lane, exactly what I thought earlier when the penalty was announced!
