I really don't mind working nights... I'm doing 9 nights in a row (Tonight is my 6th night)

You don't spend hardly any dosh and i always get a good kip

It can be an arse working sat/sun night but the way i look at it is your earning money rather than pissing it up the wall down the pub... I only work 2 weekends in 4 so still have the odd sat night out to spend the wage packet

Plus weekends are double time plus £6 an hour shift allowance EXTRA plus a change of shift payment

Work nights occassionally too love it, manage to get kip as well (sleep better at work than I do at home!) either 8.30pm - 8.30am or 9pm-9am depending which shift im on.

Best shift of the lot i think!

I run a chemical plant. Shifts do my head in, especially when you have to miss the odd weekend's fun, but then I remind myself that I only work about 120 days per year!!!

I love nightshifts!

All is quiet, nowt to bother you really, I start at ~8pm, usually finished by about 2am, used to always sleep then till the morning at work, but found it screws my bodyclock up, so just watch TV/surf net till about 6am when days come in, then I go home.

4on 4 off nights Plenty of overtime too, did 109 hours OT in August

Yes 12hr days and nights. Worst time for me is between 3 and 5am, am proper done in by that time! Usually takes me up to 2 days to recover after nights.

im on nights this week, dont mind it... to be honest, its better than dayshift/lateshift imo.

days... Monday-Friday 07:00-15:40

lates... Monday-Friday 15:25-23:25

nights... Sunday-Thursday 23:10-07:15

this is the pattern we work, 1 week of each in the order of Days-Lates-Nights

work Sat-Sun 07:00-15:00 overtime in between Days and Lates
