Default white sand / gravel for fishy tank

weres the cheapest down south, ie b&q etc etc

as in the fookin fishy shops they want a couple quid for a little tub, id need about 20 of the fookers lol

will be setting up cathode lighting (neon-ish) hoping will look gr8 with light coloured sand and moon rocks

www.tropicaltank.co.uk there is a good forum on there or www.ciclid-forum.com there are loads of info on sand there.

I'd recommend Blank Tihitian Moon Sand. Costs a bit but looks very effective!

You cant use normal building sand for tanks, thats why its so expensive

play sand is fine if washed well.

as long as it doesn't contrain certain chemicals then it's fine. People also use Pool Sand too.

fokin rip off fish shops

3 quid for a litle teeny bag of white gravel

went to b&Q and its 2 quid a bag and ten times the size of the one in the fishy shop
