Default Back in a Ford at last . . . well will be soon

At the back end of last month I finally got meself another Ford, well 2 actually I'm dead popular with our lass.

A reg mk3 capri 2.8 injection A bit of welding needed here and there but it runs which is a bonus cos it hasn't been on a road in years!!

I'll set up a thread in the resto room when I get my arse in gear and start on the car.

And a few pics of the quality motor sat in me drive

Blimey. Now there's a challenge. I'd love to see how they progress though because I've always loved the 2.8 Capri.

The 2.8 isn't in that bad a state to be fair. Needs new front wings, doors are a bit scabby but 'might' repair Still they not too dear to get at the moment. Needs some work on rear legs and spring hangers as you'd expect but the bulk head and strut tops aren't bad at all. A posts are solid along with sills, floor pans only need a bit of work on the seams.
All in all its very solid. Only gave £500 for the pair aswell which is good considering what 2.8s normally do on their own!
Engine needs a bit of work, even though it runs it has 2 core plugs missingso pisses out water faster than you can put it in Still bullet proof engines though so don't take much to put right and will take some hammer.
Will hopefully have it looking fairly right for next year money and time permitting. Its all good fun init

cheers for the comments guys. I've been at it this afternoon, front seat out and dash, centre console. The floors are pretty good. Usual holes in the inner sills and the front seems on the floors pans. Amazingly nothing major!! So far

Thanks for that Dakar, will probably be on to you after some interior bits cos as usual the dash and centre console are pretty scabby. PM me what you've got and for how much etc
