i hope your not thinking about putting them on a road car,,,
remember you need a gas bottle, a lance for the connection, the connection itself on the car, pipes, the jacks need to be very securely mounted to the car!
oh and generally they stick down quite far below the level of the floor

As Gareth T say's, they stick down quite a bit below the floor level. If you check out the Fast Ford ( possibly a Cosworth special - will help narrow the search ) issue with the GGR Petronas / Mach 5 liveried RS500 featured, you'll see what we mean. There's also a small write up about the air jack's themselves.
They are very pointless on a normal road car though as they are used for faster wheel removal during pitstop's.
AP Racing is the only place I've seen them brand new, although some one mentioned Demon Tweeks above. Also mentioned is touring Car Spares, but the one's I've seen on there always looked shagged - which is to be expected really, but suppose if you don't mind the look's then go for it.
gus you're right, that belong's to a crazy Scandanavian dude.
Good luck.

you have air jack lance either on the side or rear of vehicle, once air line connected the pistons shoot out on to the floor

Two at front for the weight and one at rear as it'll be lighter

Ah nevermind, was thinking wrongly in how they worked, simple yet stupid mistake. Anyway, I've never seen them sitting flush, have you any pictures?

they can fit flush BUT on a road/track car, the floor pan hight will be ALOT higher than the machines(
) you are working on! you cant get double extending pistons, but the price is just going up and up!

position of the pistons (be it 3 or 4) depends on a few things, weight of the car being one of them!
force=pressurexarea
where pressure is in pascals and area in meters

If you are fitting air jacks you have to fabricate mounts, and if you have to fabricate mounts then you can fit them where you want (flush) and usually next to the roll cage.
You also need the following:
3 or 4 air jacks (depends on the total weight of the vehicle) 400kg each jack approx.
6 to 8m of areoquipe or high pressure hardline. Ł200
Male input valve. Ł200
Female lance. Ł250
High pressure gas regulator 300psi. Ł300
A supply of compressed gas and botttles. Ł???
Expensive but useful.
