how to tell if turbo has a maram shaft???
how do you tell?????
or does it need to be disasembeled???

maram shafts are none magnetic so if a magnet sticks to the end of it you,ve been done

You dont actually need a maram shaft!!!!!I didnt run one on my T4,as long as you have an EGT gauge you can switch it off before melt down!

The only one i have seen had '247' in a cicrcle stamped on one of the compressor fins - you'll need to take the compressor housing off (obviously) to see it though.

On the second picture, where the fins are, the nut olding them all together, well looks like it is, it's not nuts shape sort of has three sides i think will have '247' stamped on it
well the ones i've seen have.
