Default what exhaust housing for 500hp? also, wastegate size?

...on a gt3076r? would the .63 do it, or will i have to go for a .82? i'm hoping to keep around a 8:1compression ratio.

also, any idea what size external wastegate i will need to use?

thanks

IMHO never ever go for the smallest, very little to gain, and a lot to lose.

All GT's were designed with the middle ex housing option in mind.

You will no doubt be running tons of boost (well, a good 2bar) so wastegate size wont be a big deal, not unless it mounted in a way that impeeds flow to it or summat.

wahts the best way to mount it on a cossie? i've seen cast trousers with w/g outlet on one side, i've also seen them with the outlet welded onto the centre. any ideas? i'm hopefully not going to be running masses of boost... although....

Id rather be running masses of boost than the other option, which is a high revving wild cammed mega ported giant turbod thing, which would get you the same power at less boost, but fuck all torque and no decent power for ages up the rev range.

I dont get why people think boost is bad.

use the 63 ,no loss of power and quicker spool up,with a 44 ex wastegate.

2 bar of boost and 8:1 c/r = shed loads of ignition retard (single figures on the top line, which will put HUGE amounts of heat into the engine) or BANG!
