Default Quick help needed please!

Fitting the following starter motor to my 1.6 Zetec Escort and just want to confirm where the wires go.

There's a double ford clip type jobby which can only bolt on one way (top and right nuts) but where does the cable from the alternator go? Top bolt?

Thanks

Top bolt in picture is connected DIRECTLY to battery so the alternator wire(charge lead output) can go there, if wanted.

as above

starter motors are simple things. you have the motor at the bottom. that is connected on the + side to the solenoid on top, and on the - side to the engine block that it is bolted to

the solenoid is basically a switch for switching high current. you take the + from the ignition switch to the solenoid which then switches on the + directly from the battery to the motor

hope that helps
