i think everyone should be allowed to show their car on a stand, even if its not in great condition, as long as youve cleaned her and made an effort thats what counts (imho) shows are supposed to be fun, not elitist

i dont wish to be derogatory but whats the point in putting an old sierra base model on a stand at a show.. esp when its not it great condition.. would it to be to highlight the fact that old fords are rust buckets?
Or to show what 4 grand less than your cosworth would of got you 15 yrs ago?

Yea thats the point i mean.. there is NO REASON to put a 'normal' car on a stand IMO it has to have something a bit 'special' (even if its just the owner )
It could be rotten and have a mint engine or look bling bling and have a 1.1 the thing is its different! if i wanted to see what old base models looked like id go to the scrap yard!

I dunno..... I recon there is place for standard models at shows, BUT, and its a big but...
They really need to be pretty damn old and in 100% concours condition to make it worthwhile, otherwise, as people have already said, you may as well just look at them at the scrappy or side of the road.
