Default anyone know about vag-com?

i've bought this;

gone here and downloaded this;

downloaded twin usb copy but can't get vag-com to pick up the usb device.



any ideas?

It because its not a genuine Vag-Com cable

Bollucks do you need a pukka rosstech cable, gendan.co.uk do a couple price about 35 quid.

paid Ł200 for my vag-com cable from ross-tech

i belive the ebay jobs dont have a serial no( key ) in them, so only have limited functions with the ross-tech software.

ive use the free ware ross tech software and its diagnosed a few faults for me on our vw tdis so im happy with it, i was using mine with a cable from the laptop

James don't ask it to detect the cable through the USB, try the serial port option, it should pick it up (it did for me)

wes, i did try thaat but then it just said something like "com port 3 detected, interface not recognised"
