Am l crazy !!
I have just resigned from my job, and l have a wedding to pay for next year and a house to buy 
Money is not everything l keep telling myself but hey ho you make your bed and lie in it
I beleive that the future holds bigger and better things for me so thats all that matters but cant help thinking shit i have no job in a months time

All of the above to be honest and i think when your superiours are speaking with you they need to do so with a level of respect and your self dignity is not for sale, and a total lack of challenge

no doubt the vast empty open waters can be a lonely place!
I know this as when i sailed across in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers)
with my parents some yrs ago it can feel a very very lonely place out there when it just you and the open sea

Know how you feel matey.
I'm on vacation at the moment, and it feels so good to be home again, and going to events, having a beer in the put, going home every night, and pottering around on the car.
I always look around to see what's out there when I'm on vacation.......You never know what might be around the corner. There's more to this life than sailing around the oceans......I've been doing it now for the last 15 years, and that doesn't include the time I spent in the RN.

Good move Mike, exactly the same reasons I left Toyota, everybody else there just lets the shit go over their head but I'd had enough and walked without even so much as looking for another job.

Mike, Yachts are not all their cracked up to be eh??
My pal just chucked it on his Yacht as they were treating him like pish. He was Chief engineer and they were expecting him to be a wine waiter in the evenings too.....

Yes he owns Oracle used to be in the CIA only built it because Paul Allen (microsoft founder) built Octopus and he wanted bigger now he has sold half the boat because he can not go any were with it or in any ports

Mike, might not be your kind of boat but have you heard of Leopard III. My company sponser it. I went out in it at Cowes a few weeks ago. Was awesome. We sponsered Maximus the year before. That was cool as well.

I nearly got a job on a yacht once, but decided the girlfriend at the time wouldn't understand me being away for 9 months at a time...... So I went back to Holland America..... I HATED them....
