how much should i be paying for a second hand erst diff and where can i get one from?, sounds silly but it will be better for getting the power down than a normal diff but would the likes of a atb quaife diff make alot more differnce? thanks

dunno what they worth, surely next to nothing.

not exactly great though, a proper aftermarket LSD will beat it hands down in grip and handling.

 

but they would be better than just a normal diff? just carnt afford the Ł550 that a quafie one is

 

anythings better than an open diff, yeah

i sold one for Ł60 with a few teeth missing off the crownwheel

keep searching the 'bay allthough i dont imagine they come up often, maybe start looking for ERST boxes

remember, bar across drive shaft holes = open diff. 10mm hole = lsd

 

thanks guys been looking on ebay, looks like ill be buying a whole box then splitting it, i could then put my ka diff in the rs box and flog it, do diffs wear out at all?

 

yeah, and end up as open diffs.

they wasnt all then when new, even worse when 17years old
