Default Boobs!

Not really! Just needed your atention

Who sells the bracket for the crank position sensor on top of the cam wheel, for the efi conversion?

Want to swap mine (again)

But this time was thinking of having it read from a trigger wheel where the vernier wheel is.

So, i thought of a bracket which bolts into the same holes as the cam cover, and holds the sensor above the trigger wheel?

Am i making sense?

The Sensor which is fired off the cam is the Phase Sensor not the Crank sensor - which i assume your after? Gadget (if he still makes them), Jano or Field Motorsport will make you one up.

Yeah just like that.

But cant it be used as a crank position sensor in a way? I know its not reading the cranks position, but there must be a trigger wheel that compensates for the crank pulley.

I just dont wanna fuck around with the sierra bottom pulley or drilling though my block.

P.s. This is for my new car, incase you were wondering, cos im breaking the black one in my sig.

The cam shaft spins 2x as much as the crank so trying to trigger a CPS from the cam has no point.

Also if you want sequential injection you must have a phase sensor.

THE BEST SETUP WITHOUT A DOUBT IS THE TRIED AND TESTED WAY USED BY MOST OF THE TOP TUNERS

It's hardly any hassle to weld the cossie bracket to the sump (or weld to bolts to the sump) is it!? You'll also need 4 lugs welded to your Crank Pulley.

For complete ease use the 1.8CVH setup with the 32-1 ring filed down so there are only 4 pickup points at 90 degrees to each other.

Thats exactly what i dont want to do.

I used the 1.8cvh bottom pulley setup last time and i hated the way it sits 3mm from the inner wing. Also gotta mess about with alternator belt and other shitty bits.

Whats the cossie method? Could you explain it a bit more please?

Weld 4 lugs to the CVH crank pully and fit the cosworth crank sensor to your sump to pick up the lugs on the crank pulley

Four lugs on the pulley. Do they have to be at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock position on the pulley?

Yes. One needs to be firing the sensor at TDC too iirc.

Speak to Jano.
