i agree with you, but saying you dont need a lot of power is not right is it

cant have a well set up fwd rs turbo with 350bhp and get a 9, doubt will even get into the low 12's

you dont need major power if you have a dedicated drag car!!! and these guys in the US have just that

Carlos
You just contradicted yourself here imo, the fact that its 350bhp and does a 9s 1/4 is TOTAL proof you dont need mega horse power to run a quick 1/4

Its great how people can pick things to bits and change things to suit, the point i was trying to make was even with the will of god a rst with 350bhp would never do a 9's 1/4

With similar things done to it, I dont see why its not possible to get 9s from one in non road legal trim.

Im kind of with carl in terms of the pointlessness of it all though, but 6s is fuckign impressive whatever you are driving.

Especially when it does 0-200 so fast it could give a veryon a 150mph head start and still beat it!

I admit aint really into the whole 1/4 mile only thing but people seem to find a reason to say things are shit. I honestly cant see a rst ever getting into the 9's with slicks or not. I'd ike to be proved wrong but i just ant see it happening

If you want an example of FWD fords sucking at launching...

I timed (with Datron stuff) a 106 GTI today at Brunters.

1.6 16valve, no turbo, no supercharger, no nitrous, only 208bhp and 140lbft, 205 wide tyres pumped up to full pressure, circuit spec suspension and suspension geometry, glass windows, heavy (i presume) wide arches, mega heavy bigtime rollcage, etc etc, so weight not far off standard weight...

4.9seconds 0-60
