**PLEASE PIN TO THE TOP OF THE BOARD**

Still can't believe i'm saying this, but my car was stolen last night from our hotel car park in Towcester/Silverstone where we were staying last night after Ford Fair!!!

Went outside at about 8:30 this morning to put the cases in the boot and my mate's Sapphire Cossie was there but next to it was an empty space where mine was. Can't describe the feeling, i really can't!!!! Cars get nicked all the time i know, but i loved that car so much, i just can't believe its gone!!!

I went back in the hotel and they said they have no cctv... GREAT!!!! the Little Chef next door does have cctv, but the camera is broken so that was a waste of f**king time!!!! My mate went into the BP station next door and saw footage of it being driven away at approx. 2:00am this mornin........ While this was going on i was on the phone to the Police and they've taken all the details, but theres f**k all they can do, i'm sure its in bits by now!!!

The bloke even said i've got more chance of getting information on it due to being in the clubs and the forums etc etc!!!!!! Don't know what i'm gonna do now tbh!!

THEIVING F**KIN C**NTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they probably knew there was no cameras and it was probably them cunts that broke the one on the little chef aswell. i would have parked both cars within inches off one another drivers door to drivers door and got out of the passenger door.

Whenever in doubt about leaving your car anywhere make sure you always somehow disconnect ya ECU or a live feed!

If the fukers can't drive it away or get it started they can't nick it

That is complete bollocks. (sorry)

I (until very recently) had a 2.9 V6 Granada Estate in my collection. 2 x Transponder immobilisers cutting different circuits, including cutting the ECU ignition feed where it passes behind the passenger windscreen vent (impossible to get to unless you remove the dash), plus a Toad alarm system on it. Someone had obviously been watching it as the mother-in-law uses (used to) it for work and is in the same area every day. They smashed the window, took the handbrake off and selected neutral on the auto box and dragged it onto a low-loader. I know this as there was still a black skidmark from the drivers' rear wheel as the caliper was sticking and used to have to free itself off. Car is almost certainly broken for bits now.

Lesson: a car alarm / immobiliser will only stop the opportunist or amateur car thief. A determined or well-prepared thief will find a way to remove it.

If you want a good way to stop someone driving off with your car, either cut the ECU ignition feed and hide the supply or remove the ECU. @ least that way, if they manage to drive it away, you know it is someone who knows the car and know where to start looking.

Sorry to hear that mate, but not having an alarm, was just a matter when not IF! disklock is a good thing to have aswell, extra deterants mean longer to steal! they probably bent the door back, bypassed the immob and stole it within 5 minutes

OMFG!!! Steve, I can't believe it.

What utterly shit news. In a way I hope it turns up, but what are the chances of it showing up unspoilt? Man, what an absolute shit-bag.

Thanks all for the support and posting on other Forums, that really is much much much appreciated

Several hours on, still can't believe it!!!!

Christian's right tho, whats the chances of it turning up unscathed!!??? Fook all i'd say! To be totally honest in a way i hope its not found as i don't think i could handle seeing it butchered!! It must have been to get it started alone!!

Who knows tho, maybe it might turn up somewhere

Steve....Can you post/pm this guy or me....as much of your cars details as you can (Chassis Number/Vin, Engine Numbers/Distinctive Mods etc).........He's in the "Petrol Head" scene and lives in that area, and may (Hopefully) hear something. I'm guessing whoever took it was local.....Who else would be wandering around that area at 2am in the morning....!!!!!

http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=121190

This is the post on TurboSport, so keep an eye on that as well incase someone posts something that might help.
