Anyone on here own a sportsbike?
I am talking the R6's up to the Hyabusa's.
I am after buying a bike for the first time, and I have opted for a 600, probably an R6 as, strangely enough, it's cheapest to insure
So, who rides what, how often do you use it in anger, and lets see some pictures of them

You know what, all my mates said get a gixxer, all the shops said not too
I fit the R6 perfect, am only 5ft 10 and 9.5 stone, so it will fly with me on, lol.
Thing is, for my first bike, I dont want to buy a minter, cause you just KNOW am going to drop it on it's side at some point, lol

i'm running a little 400 at the mo and it's ace
you can rag the arse off it and not do silly speeds redlines at 14,500rpm
tops out bout 142 on the clock
dont rule the 400's out mate.
and insurance is only 122.00 a year
but an r6 is not an ideal first bike mate, a bit too focused.
have you had a test ride on any?
the gizzer 6 is a loverly stable bike.
keeping the 400 till end of this month then l will be looking at a tlr/mille

I'm thinkin of sellin to get a Triumph 675, so if you're interested in my R6 let me know and I'll send you the details

I have a 55 plate Gixer 600 and i cant fault it at all. The gixers are generally seen as the better bike from overall, which is backed up by all the mags and tests etc. Having said that, you'll not really notice much difference between the lot of the 600's at this stage.

Both those gixers above look very nice bikes, so it just depends what your budget is. I will say though, the newer K series bikes, especially the K4 and upwards ride much better than the older ones and its worth the extra money if you have it, in my opinion. Thats not to say the older ones are bad as there FAR from it, but i think you do get what you pay for.
