For anyone that cares, the proper name for the doughnut is a "Guibo" or "Guibo joint".

there not a lot of money either for new ones
sapphires on teh other hand are a pain and when you could get them you had to buy the complete propshaft at just under Ł400
luckily i have a couple spare until i can find a escos rear shaft anyhow
