Default Is it a small world for you??

Is me...

Few examples...

Last year I was in the Falklands, 8000 miles away from home.. Minding my own business and walking over to the teabar one morning! As I walk past this door, its got a glass sight in, and I pear through and see this face I know of?! Think to myself, " No it cant be anyone I know from home,Im 8000 miles away?!"

Few days past, and Im walking down a corridor, to the teabar again, and see this 'face' walking towards me

Its Arron, a guy I used to go to primary school with - 13 maybe 14 years ago!

and also...

Yesterday - I pop into a tattooist as a mate of mine is getting one of his tattoos re-done, due to it being faded from having it done moons ago at a not so good tattooist, Anyway, me and my mate drive over but go for a pint first, finish up an hour later and walk over to see Phil having his tattoo

We walk in, and the guy at the desk says " You can go through if you like, go see him" I say cheers and off we walk through...

We see Phil, and his tattooist is a small cute girl, that I think I know..

Got talking and I do now her, she used to be in the year below me, and best mates with my good mate Richards sister..

Odd....

Another!

My dad has a friend called Dakar, Used to be a pilot for BA for years, then moved over to Singapore for his last few years to finish up flying for them before retiring and moving back to the UK, Well he's back, been back a few years now..

Anyway, I have a Mini, as does my parents - We get our work done on them by a bloke called Mike, From a company called "Wood & Pickett" down in Leatherhead - Surrey (I Live in Cowley, about 25 miles from here)

Mike, who also has a pilot friend... Somehow it come up in convo one day when we was down there, It turns out that Mikes friend, Also went through training with Dakar well over 30 years ago...

Odd, I think so

I went to the Canaries with the missus & bumped into someone I knew years ago

I also met someone I went to school with when I was in Goa who only lives about 15 minutes away from me but I hadn't seen since school days

I hate when people say it's a small world.... Name me one place you have been that is bigger? You can't

It's like saying life is short - it's not! It's the longest thing you will ever do!!!!

well heres a small world for you

i went to move a cossie off a drive for someone ages ago as they just moved there and it was dumped adn they wanted rid,, when i was doing it the owner turned up to collect it as was a little erm,,, well pissed to say the least

2 years later i get talking to my post man whos standing by my cossie and it turns out hes brother was the guy who owned the cossie i was about to chore

on the way to the ring this year i was worried about getting lost so i follow these 2 pug 205 gti's

they pull in services and so i follow to explain why im following (and make sure there going to the ring as that could be embarresing )

turns out hes the owner of the cossie i owned before the rs nuts on here,,,

oh and theres a few others too, ive also bumped into people about the place but the most common thing is meeting people who either i know or they know me if that makes sence

oh last one,, went on holiday when i wa in school with my parents to butlins and was expecting to have a shite time,, turns out a old mate of mine had tight arse parents who used to take him on £8.50 daily mirror holidays too

about 5 years ago i was in the mess at brize having some tea, when i seen a load of people on a jumps course come in for tea, in amongst them all was a guy i thought i recognised.
i went over and got chatting it turns out it was a good friend from my school days who joined the raf regiment.
thought that was quite odd

and in skegness for the 18-30's reunion i was walkin through one of the bars and was confronted by a couple of the lads who live on my road.

I was in Australia years ago.

Never been before, my ship was only in for 12 hours. I nipped up the road to see if they had any Irn Bru in the shops (they didn't... cunts )... I went up to a checkout chick to ask if they had Irn Bru. And she immediately said "You come all the way to Australia and look for Irn Bru? Thats typical of you Rab"

I didn't recognise her but I sat next to her for 3 years in Maths class in High School. She looked ALOT different when I knew her. She was a pie. Turns out she lost about 3 tons when she got to Oz.

Madness!

On holiday about 1000 miles from home. I was just a kid so my mum was driving. We need to fill up so we turn in at a Shell station in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere.

My mum fill the car up and walk into the station to pay while I remain in the car.

Another car pull up next me, I give it a glance and notice that my best friend from home is sitting in the back seat.
