Default Escort Harrier

Found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-ESCORT-MK...QQcmdZViewItem

Now, I always thought Harriers only ever came in white or silver, not blue. For the money he wants for it, and given their rarity and the money its had spent on it, why change the colour?

because it was done in 1994, 13years ago, when they were less rare and far less expensive.

remember how cheap a nice RS2000 was back then? look at the prices now!

It was an MSA logbooked ex-rally car too.... I couldn't insure it so I bought an Orion instead...

I had a Harrier until 2004, had it for 5yrs, kept it in the garage, needed slight restoration but hadn't been on the road for 12yrs. Sold it when money got v short and was in danger of repossession, and regretted it straight away. Would love another but with the way prices are going I'll be waiting a long time.

i knew FUCK ALL ABOUT CARS then,,,, well i still dont now but i learned

seriously trying to remember the other one

the thing i ever regret in life though has to be either snorting a line of something that i recon was ajax ( not the cream might i add ) or nout buying a 1 bedroom flat when i was 18 in sutton for 23k,,,, not that i didnt wanna buy it but it was my old man who conviced me to stay at home a little longer and enjoy life and then when im older worry about morgages

comming from a bloke who bought a 3 bedroom house 1/2 a mile from kings cross in 1988 for 11k now worth around 450k

What a load of bollox...harriers have got a good following and have never been cheap due to rarity and having the right bits...my first was a white one and i sold it in 1991 for £1800 and my second,a silver one sold for £4000 3 years ago...the colour change is not ideal, but should not harm his chances of selling as long as he has reciepts or photo evidence...if you want original wheels, they are cheap and easy to source...mk1 and 2's prices are rocketing, which is why i have my mk1 mexico in bits for a full restoration

regards mark

Ginge, I did something similar. In 99 I was offered the flat I was renting (I was single in them days) for 35k. Bank said no bother for a mortgage etc....

Decided not to and spent the money on my RS fucking Turbo

3 years later the flat was worth 140k

And to make things worse, the RST was crap
