Default Help - Tacho AGAIN!!

This has been done time and time again by me, but I really need to answer it now!!

I could go Defi, but the scale on the 80mm gauge goes to 11,000. This seems silly as the car will only rev to 7,000. However, it will match my other gauges and link to the control unit, which is useful.

Or, I could go for Stack. The scale is better (0-8000), although the picture shows the 0-3-8500 model, so the one I go for will have a constant scale from 0-8000. However, it will be totally standalone and wont match anything else in the car.

I know that functionality is the most important, but I have to consider the other stuff too.

HELP!!

PMSL. Beccy doesn't drive it now. She thinks i've ruined it!!

Im more drawn towards the Defi, the ONLY thing holding me back is wondering if it is that it goes to 11,000 when I only need 3/4 of that.

Maybe I should fit a Honda engine instead? Or better still a Hayabusa engine......

Now theres an idea......

Nah, Im seriously thinking about perhaps a Hayabusa Turbo engine in the Beantin. Just imagine that little bastard. 550bhp. 16,000rpm. Front wheel drive.

Tony,

If that was directed at me, then yes.

It has a four stage shift light system - it's all I drive on on track.......

Yes, thats roughly what I had in mind to do.

Still undecided though. I reckon Defi might win it though, just from a functionality point-of-view. The extra scale is a bit like saying that my EGT gauge goes up to 1200°c but I never use it all!! LOL. I'm glad I dont use it all!!

id go for the defi at least it ties up and also
knowing you you'll have it running to 10,000rpm
at some point in the future so you'll need it.
