Still got it, but it's gonna be sold soon.

Been away from the GTiR scene for some time - where's the best place to try for a window switch..... breakers etc?

I'd have one over a R5 anyday, even a scoob. I love these cars they look and go well, and you don't see them very often. I like my cars to look aggressive and this one fits the bill perfectly.

I say get the GTiR

Pulsar breakers will charge through the nose for them if they have any.

If you can find a regular Sunny (possibly Primera too, not sure) at a breakers yard with 'leccy windows the switches are supposedly the same....

I had a GTiR and built it from standard to 366bhp. In four years ownership i went through one gearbox (at the beginning) it then lasted 3 years no problems, 3 clutches one engine. Its faster than my escort cossie 388bhp probably because it is and feels lighter. I had no rust what so ever on mine. The brakes are rubbish but a hispec upgrade sorts that out.

Best car i've had to date

Thats pretty much spot on, reminds me of when i used to have a 5 turbo about 7 years ago. Everyone you spoke to would say that they're unreliable and blow headgaskets all the time, but all that was down to was people buying them and just whacking the boost up. Pulsars are going the same way now too, a lot of the people that own them these days just cant afford to look after them properly

The myth that the gearboxes are shit is true though Im on my 4th now and have rebuilt quite a few for people round here and they're cars werent even that highly modded when the box went. The pistons arent as bad as most people would have you believe either, apart from a metal headgasket my engine is still using standard 130,000 mile old internals and is happily coping with 1.5 bar

Like others have said watch out for rust on the rear arches, ive had to have welding done on my front crossmember and one of the sills but my car has been in this shitty wet country from new

Must admit I do miss my datsun great little cars with a bad rep for no other reason than some people dont know what they are doing when modding them.

Mine was rapid from 0-100 even with basic mods
