what you moaning about carlo, its same for EVERYONE and same in ANY rece series, RULES are RULES and if you cant abide by them, find a rece series where it passes the rules.
2-2. No tube frame vehicles or tube frame chassis extensions are permissible unless part of the OEM structure as defined in points 1-1 to 1.5. Space frame chassis are not permitted, additional triangulation and bracing of suspension turret/mounting points is allowed and as long as the modifications do not break condition 2-7.
simple fact is if they allowed people to spaceframe their cars costs would be stupid to be competitive and they wouldnt even be remotley a road car.
what you gonna moan about next, not allowing slicks?

2-1. Vehicles must retain the original chassis/body and if the chassis/body is to be altered in any way the alterations must be submitted for pre-approval to the Time Attack technical.
Ie space framing is not allowed FULL STOP, but other alterations are allowed to their discression.
And norris hasnt really done it for performance reasons, im damn sure the space framing wasnt done for fun.

Andys focus retains the original wheelbase and has a floor? Norris evo is a cut and shut with a chopped roof... surely thats has to go against the rules?
Obviously someone knows Andy will be the person to beat up there on saturday and is scared of the competition... Shame the wanker doesnt own up.
Why not let andy compete for fun... no points involved to show what he can do. Hes not bothered about points, he just wants a good day and to get a good bit of competition. At least he's not scared of some good battles like this other twat.

Well if his car doesnt pass the rules (And TBH, unless ive missed something, his is the ONLY car that would. And trust me, i spend a LOT of time in the Time Attack pits checking out the cars, its part of my job) i dont think so.
Its a real shame as itd be good to see some more awesome fords with great drivers like him in Time Attack, but rules are rules and letting him run, even for no points, is like letting anyone who doesnt comply with the rules run.
Martin Hadlands cars a good example, his only rule breaker is no seperate firewall between fuel system and driver, but he dont complain or expect to run for no points, as its against the rules.
Like someone said, though its an extreme example, you may as well let F1 cars in if your going to ignore the rules just to make a few people happy.

the rules are pretty shit they should put a cap on bhp 700bhp tops for pro class and 500bhp for club class make it more about driver skill instead of sheer power to money u can afford class, total shame was looking forward to see andy on track

Aside from the RC Evo (maybe will can tell you if theyve been running full boost, i dont know) the top cars in pro and club so far have had around 700 and 500 anyhow mate.
Ron K's R32 isnt big power (not much over 500 i hear) and he pisses club class, the Roger Clark Impreza is about 700bhp (its running a GT35), Norris has been running less than full boost, the Zen Impreza is about 700bhp, and hell, that Elise is about 350!
Power is impossible to govern without restrictors, and its total rubbish saying its all about power anyhow, its plain to see looking at some of the cars its not.
All restrictors do is force people to spent MENTAL money trying to get every last scrap of power from that restrictor size, so the gap between rich and poor would get wider, which surely is what you moaning about.
Being on road legal tyres means its only possible to put so much of that power down anyhow, so more begins to defy the point and ruin drivability, its not like they on slicks.
And people come to see the amazing cars, stopping them having mega power will make even less people go watch, and its not exactly the most exciting spectator sport as it is...

Finally someone who realises our point. Andy is an awesome driver and made the knockhill hot hatch days popular with crowds because of his driving... Time attack wouldve benefitted from his presence.

the point is though like earlier, im sure loads of other people would like that oppertunity too, but dont get it.
id love to go have a race round with the F1 guys in my mondeo runaround, but i dont expect it.
if the car was within the rules he could though, but its not, so its obvious he not going to be allowed, even for fun, as itd set a precident for others, itd contribute nothing to the series barring making andy and his mates happy, and if the car was timed at all it would totally confuse things with people wondering why the hell the possibly fastest car didnt win.
surely there other oppertunities to race other cars in that one?
