Just been to look at a P reg 2.6 A4. tidy car and goes well. Does anyone have one or had one that can give any views on them like MPG and any common faults?

Not owned one myself but i know somone who did and it was pretty faultless on the whole, needed 4 o2 sensers which cost an arm and a leg from audi! other than that it went quite well. unsure on how much fuel it drank.

a4's are excellent cars though, personally i'd get a 2.8 quattro or a 1.9 110 diesel though!

we had an N reg 2.8 quattro a few years back for about 2 years and never had any mechanical problems with it. the only issues with that and our W plate a4 is both seemed to rust on the trims around the windows and the bottom of the doors quite badly.

That will almost certianly be covered by audi's corrosion warranty!
