Moan - thieving scum!!
Weve just taken on a new contract working on the west coast main line between Crewe and Liverpool.
headed up there on thursday afternoon to meet the project managers etc,
Friday - day 1, went to a design and site office in manchester to collect all the official paperwork and go thru the formalities, then went to some place just south of Liverpool, parked the van up and went with the construction manager to see all the railway access points, look at a few of the relay rooms etc - get an idea of what was involved for the duration of the job.
on returning to the van - which was parked pretty much in a busy road - just to find the front window had been smashed in.
Missing was my iPod, Road angel, brand new Sat nav that id bought the day previous, the rear tool compartment door had been busted open and 2 brand new Hilti drills, huge tool boxes and several test equipment had gone missing.
work have estimated the loss of there equip to be just over 3k.
let alone loosing my own personal effects
not best impressed - Day one of what could be anything up to an 18 month project - makes you want to say fook it all and just go back home

To be completely honest Paul, i have no idea where i was, the Construction manager phoned the police and told them were we were.
the officer who came out was really helpfull - but said there wasnt a great deal he could do, wasnt worth finger printing anything as he said
im certainly not branding scousers - as you know, ive now got some good mates up there
id be pissed off were ever it had happened.
bit thats really annoying is nothing was left on show
Tim, im a signalling engineer mate, been working within the S+T just shy of 17 years now.

Fuzzy ....
its a Huge company van - Vauxhall Movano, all the tools are kept in the back and even has an extra barrel lock on the rear doors.
the ipod and road angel were under the passenger seat in a box - and the sat nav had been popped into the glove box when i locked the van up and left it there.

the other thing is, maybe they went for the work tools, being a works van - and my goodies were just an added bonus.
just got the battle with the company now - 'personal effects are not covered by our insurance' i was told, but i bet they claim back all the tools the lost

we think different to them,, they phrase " is the glass half empty or half full
the scallies just look around for someone elses drink to nick before filling the old glass with water and rebranding it as a designer beer from italy to get some extra cash to buy the knocked off tracksuit from "our kid"
even the pikeys complain to to council when they move the scousers in

sad isnt it the tossers use bluetooth phones to see if anything close is logged on ..your phone in the glovebox and alike laptop
ive been asked about 5 times wanker hoodys at the shops is that the new tomtom on your dash "Simpleton smack head thieves" havent got a clue what it was........ would rip it out and throw it away
boost controller screen
as its not lit up when the car powers down .. im just waiting for the window to go in ...when i park sloppy it only takes 2 mins
its parked 99% secure most of the time
makes the engine paranoia seem piss poor
but if it goes and i catch him...I will be famous trust ME
