Donny 1 XR4i 0
Done at least one bigend in.
Anyway gave me a chance to give the ricer a run out. Took the Skyline out for a spin and passed a red shitbox in the process
There were some quick cars out. A nice rough looking Saff that was well sorted, pug 106 (what the fuck was in it??) and a race spec mini cooper all in the video that follows

You was very lucky there lad,I won't like to be ever in that same situation!!! Was a great trackday thou, rain held off for most of the day .I had a good dice with the young lad in the Fiesta RS1800 and later in the day with that red Pug with the white back bumper.Good laugh as both drivers were very good and safe. Got a passenger seat session in Plynchy's Focus RS,great car, brill driver ,really enjoyed it. You mind me asking how much a new slick is from EARS inc VAT???Thanks,Mick

Interesting! I'm tempted to put part worn semi/full slicks on the Mondeo and take it round Donny in a few weeks or two, now that would be a sight Would probably nacker my suspension or roll over though, too much grip for the car Do you need a cage at donny?

Cracking day, glad I organised it.
Good crack on Saturday night, really pleased no one else knew my tab number but why do we always start a track day with a hangover??
Had some truly fantastic sessions out in the FRS, performance was superb and most of all the handling was absolutely incredible for a car on std suspension.
Didn't get too many loony runs with Clive tho for some reason, good view of him in my rear view tho when he went just a bit too far as mentioned above, good spray of mud behind you!
Top day all round lads!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Glad you came through unscathed Steve, it could've been nasty.
I thought you did rather well, once you're on the grass though you're just along for the ride!

Here are the only photos I took on the day
the Mk1 in the garage
and I did like this Alfa
Rob's Skyline
All of the hairdressers lined up for the parade lap
although there was a proper TT at the front
and what the hell is this all about. who needs their Vag checking
Here we are on the way home after a good weekend
and you don't see many of these about these days, especially not in this condition.
Has anyone got any video of the Mk1 on track as I haven't

Hi mate
the slicks you are using they are rally tarmac slicks and these are no good for track use they only last a few laps then they go off rapidly
they are designed for short bursts and give very good grip nearly straight away
you were lucky that you never striped the tyre completely off the wheel
you might be better off in getting yourself some proper touring car slicks most of the compounds are medium to hard which will last atleast 30mins before they start to go off but they do take alot longer to work
you said 27 psi was this hot temp / or cold temp before going out or set after they were hot ??
im glad both of you are ok thats the mainthing
what car was you driving ?

you were lucky really , just put that down to experiance
when you get your other slicks , set the tyre presssure to 22/23 psi on the front and 21/22psi on the rear thats from cold they will expand to about atleast another 10psi once they get hot then lower the pressure to about 28 0n the front and 27 on the rear , im roughly going by the weight of your car and the size of your slicks
