Default Advice needed regarding the sale of my car.....

The people who won my car on eBay came to collect it yesterday, 3 Irish blokes they seemed decent enough.

Get a missed call lastnight so i rang him back today, and firstly he claims "the battery had to be changed because went flat as a result of the alternator not charging it", which is complete bollucks.

But slightly more worringly, i had the current MOT certificate elsewhere and needless to say forgot to give it to him, he says on the phone "i also need the current MOT certificate ASAP because i got stabbed lastnight and only have 7 days to produce my documents"

he also has spelt his surname wrong on the slip i have to send DVLA, additionall to the fact ive done some research and the house number on the slip is different to the one i can track the business name to.

Hes paid me cash so i have the money, just a bit worried they may be using the car to do something dodgy

Any got any comments/suggestion? Is it worth reporting it to the police?

send him the MOT, the address he gave you - recorded delivery.

Tell him the car was fine when he took it, if it wasn't it wouldn't have ran for very long and the battery light would have been on.

Send the logbook or slip to the DVLA recorded delivery and that is the end of it.

I couldnt give a toss about what he said about the battery i know for a fact hes talking shit - if the alternator isnt charging you dont change a battery do you

I'll get the slip sent off recorded then, just got a bad feeling about it
