What is the noise the world rally Subaru makes??
Its on 3:04 minutes of the video....Also is it using anti lag?

deffo ALS, at least at some points in the vid, sounds like EGR ALS which is not quite the loud pop bang you used to, much faster and less agressive sounding, but mega effective.

fooook knows what that noise is tho, sure its from the car?

Yes, anti-lag.

Sounds like an exagerated turbo stall sound to me, does it each time he comes to a halt and off the throttle - once at the beginning and once at the end.

It's always when the car comes to a halt and is something depressurising. Perhaps some sort of electronic valve that releases the pressure in an accumulator once the throttle has been off for so many seconds?

I agree, it was my 1st thought, its an accumilator of some sort i reckon venting.

From the EGR ALS i reckon, as they usually come with an accumilator in that setup.

is it anything to do with the big tank of air in the boot (you know the one where air has come through the restrictor but they have no use for it so it goes in to the tank in the boot waiting for when they have the massive boost spike to chuck it in then i rember this from a few years back and they might not do this any more thought )

Got the answer from the Subaru world rally team:

The noise made by the Subaru Impreza WRC comes from the engine - the turbo-charger to be exact. When the driver takes his foot off of the throttle there are less exhaust gasses to keep the turbo spinning and the turbine could slow down. To prevent this happening we developed an anti-lag system to keep the turbine spinning - and it's this pressured system that makes the whistling or chirping noise on deceleration.
