Default to stage 3 or not to stage 3

hi all just wondering should i stage 3 my cossie on the engine its on as when i got my car there is no recipits for any kind of engine work done on it, rebuild etc etc. the car runs at stage 1 and i have to say its as sweet as a nut just wondering if i stage 3 it will the engine be fit for it car has done 102k miles with every mot to prove, should i just do a group a head gasket before i stage 3 it and hope for the best, turbo is standard t3.
any advice be great thanks in advance

Your turbo may give up at that mileage or it will at the very least severely shorten it's life.

i am running stage 3 on a standard headgasket .. mileage is 105k and still doing the odd track day in it ..
although standard turbo died on xmas eve 2 years ago

when you stage 3 there is no need to group a the head gasket until it goes,if it goes

NO need to do standard headgasket!!
Southampton University had to do loads of headgaskets on bog standard engines, when they were being developed, they had MORE fail than not fail.

if i were you i would wait till i had the money to pull the whole engine out. give it a rebuild and renew turbo then stg 3 it. just my opinion.

just makes me wonder how nms get 24psi out of standard injectors?must be running bloody lean in the mid range?
