Help with radio problem - works van

Its a peugeot partner van, and its a standard peugeot radio, any idea how to get it off mute?

guessing it will be cable tied under the dash somewhere, can you follow the phone cable back to the box? or bt button

No its not..
The yellow wire is mute on a nokia kit, Blue is switched live.
It could be a number of reasons why its stuck on mute.
Does the sound come through the car stereo speakers? If so it could be that the relay is stuck inside the audio loom- it will need disconnecting to fix- but may happen again.
It could be the mute signal from the com box that is at fault- which means a new com box.
It could be the data cable from the holder that has gone wrong.
It could be that you have the 2 in 1 kit and he's tried pairing a samsung or other such phone to it and its crashed it- best to disconnect power from com box, reconnect and give him a slap.
It could be that the mute wire has earth on the chassis before it hits the com box which will cause constant mute.
Easiest fix untill you can get an engineer out to have a look or provide more details about what you actually have is as follows.
Remove stereo- 2 ford style/coathanger style keys in the 4 holes.
On the back or the radio is the standard iso connector. As you look down on it the furthest block away from you will have the yellow wire connected or bodged into one of the holes- If its bodged- pull it out and just replace the radio. If its connected properly just cut it with enough length so it can be re connected- make sure you insulate the end still connected to the stereo.
Hope this helps

Partner van- it will be either behind the air vent blank to the left of the stereo- it just pops off.
In the passenger foot well under the glove box cable tied/bodged into some wiring.
Above the stereo behind the vent- 3 x T20 screws to remove.
