I bought a 4x4 one not so long ago so this part should still be available, not too sure on 2wd cap

2WD (as in your sig') is a bayonet fitting, 4x4 is screw fitting.

2wd use a baynot type and 4wd use a screw type

And screw types don't fit in bayonet holes

Or at least, the one I bought doesn't

anyone got a spare bayonet one i can have cheaply? mine currently has on old vw one on at the moment as its all i had at the time and it doesnt quite seal properly causing oil to run down the rocker cover

Mine's an original one mate, and I have an oil leak from there too. Was gonna make up a gasket out of Weetabix box, see if it solves it

The 4x4 (89 model year onwards ) one i bought has a nice thick rubber ring around the top to seal it.

I have a brand new one never even out of the packet, for 2wd.
I will see if I can decipher the part number for you.
